AB-1393 was an amendment bill that would have included Lao American History & Cultural Studies alongside Hmong, Vietnamese, and Cambodian American Studies which was originally approved on SB-895. The fight to include Southeast Asian American Studies in the K-12 Curriculum was a California statewide effort from various organizations in the Lao American Community. The photos below cover a portion of the events during the campaign trail, but does not cover all the activities. Numerous Lao American Organizations and state legislators were included in supporting the effort.
